I become accustomed to having a stable and roomy place to do my meal prep, but have historically left myself limited to a picnic table and paper plates when camping. I was determined to find something more accommodating for my next weekend away, but knew with all the other wants on my list, I’d have keep my budget reasonable.
Of course, I spent some time browsing various engines, but kept coming back to a few sellers rebranding a generic imported aluminum folding table with shelves, windscreen, and a carrying case. I paid a little extra for mine, since some advertised shipping times made me nervous. This is the table I decided on!
The table came quickly, and without any damage, but I did encounter an issue as soon as I opened the box: the contents smelled like potent gasoline! Every bit of it, in fact! I immediately took it to the garage for airing out once it was assembled. It took almost two weeks for the smell to subside. Check out some of these specs:
- Three tops, total dimensions: 69” x 19.5” x 43.5”
- Three storage organizers
- Windscreen
- Carrying case; folds up to approx 35″x 6″x 20”
- Aluminum build w/pvc coating
I’ll have other posts discussing gadgets and gear I swear by, or have simply tried, so keep checking back and/or sign up for notifications! My most recent trip will probably have almost a dozen products to cover, and I’ll be going again in three months.
Now, since I never expected to be taking photos for a blog, most of my photos were quick snaps to share via text… I’ll be better about that in the future. Regardless, I did get a decent snapshot of the table in-use during the trip.
As you can see, this thing holds, and organizes, quite a bit! There’s more storage than is visible at this angle, as well. The center was perfect for the new griddle I bought; post coming for that. Everyone at the site knew where to go for almost any food prep needs. I was very happy with the table, particularly with the horrid smell gone! I have used it since and will continue until I do something to damage it!
